Description
Vibration testing works by introducing a forcing function into a structure, usually through some type of shaker. The device under test (DUT) is attached to the shaker table. One or more control points on the DUT-side of the fixture are held at a specified acceleration, while other response points reveal maximum vibration (resonance) or minimum vibration (anti-resonance).
The VB-150 supports two typical test types: sine tests (one frequency at a time), used to survey the structural response of the DUT, and random tests (all frequencies at once), which more closely replicate real-world environments such as road inputs to a moving vehicle.
